Volunteers in Medicine Clinic
The Volunteers in Medicine Clinic provides free primary medical care
to residents of Martin County who are below the 150 percent poverty
income level, and who do not have private health insurance, Medicaid
or Medicare. The clinic is staffed primarily by volunteers, retired
medical professionals and other area residents. Martin Memorial Health
Systems supports the clinic by providing access to laboratory, diagnostic
studies and ancillary programs such as cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation,
physical, occupational and speech therapy, dietary counseling, and
monitored exercise programs at the Martin Memorial Wellness Centers.
